Lake Dora, Dora Canal & Sunset Tour

Mount Dora is famous for it's sunsets and their is no better vantage point than Lake Dora itself. The 2-Hour Lake Dora, Dora Canal & Sunset Tour is our premium experience and gives you the best of all worlds. Sunset viewing is always weather dependent. This tour is available Sunday evenings mid-March through the first weekend in November. This tour price has a built-in $10.00 savings with unassisted online booking. With online booking the cost of the tour is $188.00 ($94.00 per person) plus tax per boat. The cost of the tour if booking by phone through our reservation agent is $198.00 plus tax per boat.

This tour is priced per boat plus tax and the boat will carry two people. (Gratuities not included) Boat operators must be 21 years of age or 18 years of age with a valid Boating Card.

CatBoat Tours will provide you with:

  • A CatBoat Dedicated To You & a Passenger For The Tour
  • Small cooler for your water or soft drink. (ice not included)
  • Life jackets
  • Narration and historical information
  • Adventure and sightseeing

No boating experience necessary.

Instruction will be given before the tour leaves the dock.



Important: Depending on the weather you may get wet. It is rare but the weather may change while we are on tour. Please dress accordingly. You must wear boating shoes or non-marking soft soled shoes or sandals.

Customers may bring the following items:

  • Camera
  • Additional non-alcoholic beverages
  • Sun Block
  • Proper clothing for boating (Please dress according to the weather)
  • Sunglasses

If the tour has not been paid for or scheduled you must call 352-325-1442 and schedule a tour at one of the available times or dates or at a custom time we will arrange with you. Custom tours apply to groups of four or more only.

Rules of the tour

The tour is paid in full at the time of the reservation. All sales are FINAL! In the event of a canceled tour due to weather you will be rescheduled or provided with a gift certificate to use at anytime in the future.

Boat operators must be 18 years of age and possess a valid Florida Boating Safety Education Identification Card if born on or after January 1st, 1988. Boating cards or licenses from other states may be reciprocal.
NO alcohol allowed on the tour
No littering
No swimming or jumping off of CatBoats.
